SociologySOCI 125 Introduction to Statistics in SociologyUpdating Elementary Statistics for Behavioral and Social Sciences

Substantial changes include:
• Splitting Unit 2 into two sections (Mean Differences (t-tests), then More Mean Differences (ANOVAs)), which would require new data and examples for the ANOVA chapters since each unit has its own theme.
• Splitting Ch. 3 into two chapters (Measures of Central Tendency, and then Measures of Variability), and then add some of the info from the current Ch. 4 (Distributions) into the new Ch. 4.
• Expanding the steps of Null Hypothesis Significance Testing by adding a “write it up!” step at the end.
